Bone Grafting

Bone Grafting

Dental implants are where a screw is installed into the jaw and topped with a crown to replace missing teeth. These implants require a sturdy bone foundation for completion. For patients who lack this foundation in the jaw to hold onto that dental implant, a bone graft can be used to build up a good foundation.

The bone pieces in the graft may be taken from another part of the patient’s mouth, or may be fragments from a bone bank. These donated fragments are both safe and effective.
